On Tuesday 21st May, the College welcomed Mr Liam Hanlon, brother of our own Ms Hanlon. Mr Hanlon gave a motivational assembly to Year 12, discussing the achievements of the Tri4life Team, a group founded by Mr Hanlon in 2000. Amongst a catalogue of physically gruelling challenges, Mr Hanlon and the team have cycled the length of Europe, biked across America, completed multiple Ironman and Double Ironman races, swam the Channel, aided the reconstruction efforts in the British Virgin Islands after devastating hurricanes and climbed Mount Everest. The team have raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity and have more ambitious plans for the future. What an inspiration! We look forward to seeing Mr Hanlon again.
