“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Philippians 4:13

At St Anselm’s College, we are committed to ensuring that every student is known, valued and supported to achieve their full potential. We recognise that some students may require additional support to access learning, participate fully in school life and flourish both academically and personally.

Working in partnership with students, parents, staff and external agencies, we strive to remove barriers to learning and provide an inclusive environment where all students can succeed.

St Anselm’s College Local Offer

As a Catholic Grammar school in the Edmund Rice tradition, our approach to SEND is rooted in the belief that every young person is unique and made in the image of God. Guided by the Eight Essentials of Edmund Rice, we are committed to promoting inclusion, respect, compassion and social justice for all members of our community.

In line with the SEN Code of Practice (2015), we use a graduated approach to identify, assess and support students with additional needs. Through high-quality teaching, targeted interventions, reasonable adjustments and specialist support where required, we aim to remove barriers to learning and enable all students to make progress.

Our SEND department works closely with teaching staff, pastoral leaders, parents and carers to ensure that students receive the support they need to engage fully in school life and achieve their individual goals.

We encourage students to develop confidence, independence and self-advocacy, enabling them to become successful learners and active members of our school community.

Further information about our SEND provision can be found in our SEND Information Report and SEND Policy.
