Dear Parents and Carers,

It was a pleasure to welcome our new Year 7 students and their families to our Transition Evenings this week. We are delighted to be welcoming so many siblings and seeing so many familiar faces back into our Anselmian family.  A reminder that applications for the September 2026 Entrance Examination close on 31st July. Further information and application forms can be found on the College website. We have already received an incredible 573 applications.

As mentioned last week, on Sunday 5th July, a number of staff, students and members of our wider College community, including myself, will be taking part in the Liverpool–Chester–Liverpool Bike Ride in support of Northwest Cancer Research. Alongside this, we have launched a GoFundMe campaign to support the mental health and wellbeing of young males through donations to the Paul Lavelle Foundation, the Martin Gallier Project, and bespoke wellbeing initiatives within the College. We are nearing the end of our GCSE and A-level summer exam series, with many students only having 3 to 4 exams left.  We are looking forward to celebrating with Yr11 on Thursday morning during their celebration breakfast and with Yr13 at their final Mass and prestigious Colours Awards on Friday evening. As one examination season comes to an end, another begins! I know Yr 10 students are already working hard and revising independently at home, well done, and keep up the excellent effort. Every revision session completed now will ease the pressure this time next year and help build the confidence, knowledge and resilience needed for success.
