Dear parents and carers,

We have now reached the end of this half-term, which has been heavily influenced by exams and assessment of progress, which is a constant in the annual college calendar. A Level, BTEC and GCSE Exams are now well underway and our students have demonstrated impressive calm and commitment in the face of these challenges. Years 7-9 have completed their end of year exams and I take this opportunity to congratulate the overwhelming majority of these boys upon their demeanour this week.

Year 10 and 12 completed their exams earlier this month and their reports will be sent out shorty after half-term.

We have not set any “Reading Beyond the Subject ” for next week but Mr Booth will be circulating a “Reading Matters” Newsletter shortly. On a journalistic note, congratulations to Calum Jones (Y10) who has had 4 recent articles published by the Wirral Globe recently, including one with me!

If you would like to purchase a copy of the College Photograph 2024 and have the image of your youthful sons and aged Headmaster preserved in perpetuity, the link to the Tempest site for orders has been sent to you.

The Anselmian Association Year 13 Leavers’ BBQ proceeds tonight despite the overcast weather! Anselmians are not deterred by a drop of rain when food is available!

The College re-opens at 8.30am on Monday 3rd June. Our uniform and appearance regulations remain unchanged.

I wish you and your families an enjoyable Bank Holiday weekend.

Yours in the Charism of Blessed Edmund Rice,

Simon Duggan

Headmaster
