On Friday we celebrated the forthcoming Feast Day of Blessed Edmund Rice, Founder of the Congregation of Christian Brothers, on 5th May during the Bank Holiday Weekend. We revived the traditional custom of the Christian Brothers and had a Feast Day cake baked and distributed. This went down well with students and staff!
The Feast of Blessed Edmund, often designated as “Founder’s Day” was celebrated throughout the world on Sunday, including at the Brothers’ Community at Woodeaves, Hale Barns, where Mr Duggan attended their final Feast Day Mass and celebrations as the Brothers prepare to leave their English headquarters of the past 60 years for other venues.
