The first sporting wins for the College of 22/23 were recorded today by the 1st and 2nd XI hockey teams. 

After such a successful year last year it was always going to be a tough act to follow but all the lads performed brilliantly in the first matches of the season away at Bolton. 

The First XI played first and scored in the first 5 minutes and played some fantastic high intensity hockey, eventually winning 2-1. Players of the match went to Year 11 Finan Ashton who made his first team debut and Asher Martin. Both lads had excellent games at wing back.

The Second XI won 3-0 and looked extremely comfortable throughout the match. There were some exceptional individual performances from McKeown and Garrity. Man of the Match went to McKeown who created lots of chances and was excellent in Midfield.
