The College was delighted to be awarded ‘School of the Year’ at the recent Martin Gallier Project Awards Evening.

The award was in recognition of our attempts to make our College ‘Suicide Aware’ – with suicide being the biggest killer of young men under 25.

All of our students from Year 7 to 13 have attended an assembly looking at the taboos around talking about feelings and suicidal thoughts and a team of staff and 6th Formers have been trained in ‘Safe Talk’; how to talk to someone with suicidal thoughts.

These 6th Formers are also an integral part of our Peer Mentoring and Anti Bullying ambassador groups.

Well done to you all!
