The College community is very sad to learn of the death of The Rt. Hon Frank Field, Baron Field of Birkenhead. Frank was MP for Birkenhead from 1979-2019 and was a great supporter of the College and a regular visitor to us. He was our Guest Speaker at Prize Giving in 2003.

Frank was  Minister of Welfare Reform in Tony Blair’s first cabinet from 1997-8 and was a fearless champion of the poor and disadvantaged.

He will be greatly missed.
