Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to Term 3, always our busiest term, with back-to-back events, trips, and examinations.

Thank you to all who attended the Yr 7 Parents’ Evening yesterday; it was, as always, very well supported. If you have not yet completed the questionnaire sent via email, we would greatly appreciate your feedback.

We were also delighted this week, to welcome back former student Mr Kevin Core, now a producer at the BBC. He delivered an engaging assembly to our Key Stage 3 students and met with a group interested in careers in media and journalism. Kevin spoke inspirationally about his time at the College and the role its values played in his success, emphasising the importance of resilience in overcoming challenges.

I would like to congratulate our newly appointed Executive Prefect Team and Senior Prefects. The selection process was rigorous, involving staff and student votes, applications, references, and interviews. I am very proud of this outstanding group and look forward to working with them as part of our student leadership team.

Students in Years 11–13 have received a message from Mr Diaz, Exams Officer, regarding JCQ ‘Information for Candidates’. Please remind your child to read this carefully and complete the linked Microsoft Form to confirm their understanding.

Finally, well done to all students and staff who adapted so positively with today’s ‘Phone Free Friday’ initiative!   (with exemptions for Sixth Form and specific medical needs).

Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

Kind regards

Mrs Cubbin
