This was our first year entering the challenge. The boys were given 30 minutes to prepare a sustainable project that would attract wildlife to their local area. This was an unseen challenge, so the students had no idea of the topic before we arrived, and could not prepare any work. All the boys contributed well and presented their ideas to a room full of people.

The Mayor and Mayoress were very impressed with the boys and how articulate they were. Unfortunately, we didn’t win – St Mary’s College fielded a sixth form team, who were far more advanced in their language and presentation skills – but our boys truly were superb.
