The College held its annual Remebrance Ceremony at 11am on Friday 10th November. Members of the Anselmian Association joined staff and students in the Hall as a wreath was laid by Head Boy Joshua Adesina in memory of the 12 Anselmians who died in the service of our country during the Second World War and the Korean War who are commemorated on the Memorial Plaque in the Hall. This was followed by a minute’s silence and the playing of the Last Post. We also prayed for those Anselmians who died during bombing raids and all victimes of war. The ceremony was afforded added poignancy this year, owing to the conflict in Israel and Palestine and the continuation of the war in Ukraine. Years 7, 11 and 13 attended in the Hall and were impeccably behaved. The ceremony was streamed live to all other Year groups and this feed can be accessed from the college website.
May they rest in peace.
