Dear Parents/Carers,

This week students observed the beginning of Lent by participating in an Ash Wednesday service. During the service, they reflected on the significance of the ashes and the spiritual importance of the Lenten season. Most importantly, they considered how they could make meaningful changes in their daily lives to support and serve others during this sacred time.

We were delighted to welcome our Year 7 parents and carers to their first parents’ evening this week. Thank you for your attendance—we truly appreciate your time and engagement. We look forward to reviewing your feedback from the questionnaire, as your insights help us celebrate what is going well and identify areas for further improvement. Your support and input are invaluable to us.

Congratulations to our Cross-Country team last Saturday who competed in the English Schools’ Cross Country Cup National Final.  Our senior team finished 22^nd and the intermediate team 13^th.   The intermediate race saw an outstanding performance from Michael Phelan Yr.10 who finished in second place with a time of 12:53. A fantastic effort from all the runners, demonstrating the College’s strength at national level.

And so, onto the week ahead!

The face paints have arrived, the flags are made, and the banners are being produced (thank you to one of our parents at Cowen Signs for the generous donation) for the big day on Wednesday!  Information has been emailed to those attending the Rugby Final in person.  We believe the match will be streamed live and will email further details once we receive them.  We do have limited seats available on the family/friends coach.  If you would like to book a seat, please visit Tickets – St. Anselm’s College.
