Dear parents and carers,
It is hard to believe that we have only been back in lessons for two days! We are immensely proud of how well all students have immersed themselves back into their learning and routines. It was a pleasure to see them arriving punctually, dressed smartly, and ready to learn on Thursday morning. We hope this positive start continues.
This week, our KS4 assemblies reflected on the key message of the parable of the Good Samaritan, emphasising the importance of living in a tolerant, inclusive, and respectful society today. This key message will be discussed further during Personal Development lessons.
We have a busy week ahead, starting with our ‘Welcome Evening’ for all Yr.12 parents, carers and students, 6pm on Tuesday. Later that evening we have our first FOSA meeting of the year at 7.30pm. All new members are welcome – please contact reception for more information. Our Yr.7 students are joining with BHSA on Tuesday afternoon for an audience with author and TV presenter Alexander Armstrong.
College closes early on Thursday 12th at 2pm for ‘Open Evening’, thank you to all students who have already, kindly volunteered to help out and showcase our fantastic College. Finally on Friday, Merseyside’s Mental Health Promotion Team will be in College to work with Yr.10 on prevention of violence and crime.
May I remind you that we strive to be a nut free College, therefore please do not send your child to College with nuts or foods containing nuts. We currently have over 30 students with nut allergies. Please also be mindful when collecting your child at the end of the College day. Egerton Road was extremely congested yesterday. I suggest parking on a road nearby and asking your child to walk to meet you.
I wish you all a wonderful, restful weekend,
Kind regards,
Mrs Cubbin
Headteacher
