Dear parents/carers,
What a first week back! A week of remarkable achievements that have well and truly put us on the map!
The DfE released the KS5 A-level ‘valued added’ scores for all schools in England. I am delighted to say that St. Anselm’s College has outperformed every other Grammar school in Wirral (Including the girls Grammar schools).
The DfE have also released the latest National Attendance Data. St. Anselm’s College is ranked in the top 0-10% for overall attendance. Thank you for your continued support with ensuring your son gets to College on time every day.
Congratulations to the 1st XV Rugby Team who defeated Ipwich School 35-12 in a superb performance on Wednesday. The National Final takes place on 12th March – more details to follow. Thank you to all who supported especially to our student spectators who were unbelievable – what an experience.
Good luck to all our students running in the National Cross County Final tomorrow! We know you will make us proud.
In other news this week, Year 9 attended workshops with ‘Solutions Not Sides’. These workshops allowed students to develop their skills of empathy, active listening, critical thinking and conflict resolution, through exploration of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
