Dear parents and carers,

next week is the penultimate week of the Easter Term and the final full one! It is therefore always a very busy one!

The Year 11 Mock Exams are nearly finished, with some boys having Modern Language papers on Monday. I congratulate the boys upon their mature demeanour this week, which will serve them well this summer. We have had another successful week in our extra-curricular activities. Congratulations to our Year 8/9 STEM team of Austin Davey, Stanley Dodd, Arthur Goulding, Oliver Harrison and Noah Howard, ably led by Mr. Mcloughlin, who won the Innovation Prize at the Unilever Bright Futures Awards yesterday. The Year 9 Rugby 7s team had a good day today, defeating Calday and Stonyhurst en route to the final of the Wirral 7s, which we lost 25-10 to Lymm HS.

Our Lenten charity activities have continued this week with fundraisers and competitions and we have  Year 9, 10 and 11 Own Clothes Days next week. Years 7 and 8 will participate in Stations of the Cross Liturgies on Tuesday morning. We are also collecting Easter Eggs for Arrowe Park Children’s Ward, to be delivered by Wednesday 27th March. Please support this worthy cause.

On Tuesday afternoon Years 11 and 10 will attend a performance of Macbeth, their GCSE Shakespeare set text, in the Hall, delivered by a touring theatre company. Good luck to our Year 9 and Year 8 Rugby Sevens teams who compete in the national Rosslyn Park Festival next week.

I wish you and your families an enjoyable weekend.

Yours in Christ,

Simon Duggan
