Dear Parents and Carers,
This week’s Celebration of the Word focused on the ER theme “Education for Justice”. Together, we reflected on the significance of the International Day of Peace and the inspiring life and work of St. Oscar Romero, one of our Form Saints.
Thank you once again for your feedback on the Catholic Life & Mission Questionnaire. Just a polite reminder as a Catholic school, we are guided by Diocesan expectations in terms of curriculum and time allocation for RE lessons. While these aspects are not within our control, I would be very happy to discuss any of your comments further; please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
It has been a fantastic start to the rugby season, with brilliant cup wins for our U15s against Queen Mary’s Grammar School, U16s against Wirral Grammar, and our First XV against Liverpool College. Congratulations also to our Year 7, 8 and 9 teams on their excellent victories over the weekend! We are equally proud of our cross-country runners who braved the wind and rain on Saturday morning to complete their challenging run up Moel Famau. Well done to you all.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Year 7 Welcome Mass yesterday. It was truly special to see so many of you there to celebrate with our new students as they begin their Anselmian journey. I was so proud of all of our musicians, readers and altar servers, I thought the singing was fantastic, what a voice Year 7 have!
We also send our best wishes to the students travelling to Jaén on the Spanish Immersion trip. For some, this will be their third visit to their exchange partners; what a wonderful opportunity to deepen friendships and immerse themselves in Spanish culture. We look forward to seeing the photos and updates on our socials.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs Cubbin
