Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you to all who attended our Sixth Form Open Evening yesterday; we hope you found it helpful.  A reminder that the full Sixth Form curriculum is available on our website. Should you require any further support or guidance, please contact Miss Baines at lbaines@st-anselms.com or Dr Cooper at ccooper@st-anselms.com. Students will have further opportunities throughout the year to experience our Sixth Form and to help them choose the courses that best suit their interests. 

Representatives from the Edmund Rice Office met with Sixth Form this week to highlight the annual Edmund Rice Summer Camp which runs annually from the College. The ER camps offer an invaluable opportunity for students to develop key leadership skills and become part of the global Edmund Rice network. Please do encourage your sons in the Sixth Form to consider getting involved. 

FOSA have also asked me to remind you that their Wreath Making Event will take place next Friday 28^th at 7:00pm. Tickets are still available via the College website.  In addition, Mr McCabe has asked me to highlight a new and exciting ‘Acoustic Night’ on Wednesday 3rd December from 6:45pm. Tickets are £5 payable on the door, here in the College Hall.  

Also, next week our Year 11 Parental Revision Support Evening will take place on Tuesday 25th at 6:00pm.  This event is aimed at sharing a range of effective revision strategies to enable you to support with your sons with revision in preparation for their GCSEs. 

Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the Samaritan’s Purse Shoebox Appeal, over 170 boxes were collected yesterday. This ER theme of ‘Compassion for those in need’ was also beautifully reflected in a wonderful Year 10 form class assembly yesterday, where students re-enacted the parable of the Good Samaritan in a modern-day Bromborough version! It was both humorous and moving.
