Dear parents and carers,

What a week which has demonstrated the richness of the curriculum provided at the College! Our Y8/9 Careers and Enterprise Day was a great success last Monday, and 2 of our teams have qualified for the Final in Doncaster on Tuesday. Sports Day at The Oval last Tuesday was a great success, and we were delighted to see so many family members spectating! Congratulations to Forms 10H, 9P, 8P and 7G upon their victories on a day of keen and good-humoured sporting achievement and teamwork. Our Year 6 Transition events and Open Evening on Wednesday and Thursday were very successful. Thank you to all boys and our FOSA Committee members for their contributions.

Congratulations to athlete Obe Kearney (Y11) who yesterday won the European Junior Championships Biathlon Gold Medal in Funchal, Madeira. An incredible achievement! Isaac Taylor (Y9) continued his good season receiving the Bowler of the Tournament Award at The Mersey Cup competition earlier this week.

Good luck tomorrow to our Junior Athletics Squad (Y8 & 7) who compete in the English Schools Cup Final in Stoke-on-Trent, maintaining our proud tradition in this prestigious national competition.

Our busy end to the year continues with the Y7 RE Trip to Liverpool on Tuesday, our Y10-13 Apprenticeship Evening at 6pm on Tuesday, and the Senior Rugby Tour party departs for South Africa on Wednesday, looking forward to testing the competition in the land of the world champions. Our 6th Form Music students host a Live Lounge event on Thursday from 6.30pm and all parents are welcome to join us.

Please encourage your son to bring in his Br. Kerrigan Walk sponsorship if he has not already done so.

I wish you and your families an enjoyable weekend.

Yours in Christ,

Simon Duggan
