Year 9 Students Gain Insight into NHS Careers with ‘Step into the NHS’ Virtual Event
A group of our Year 9 students recently took part in the Step into the NHS virtual event, an engaging and interactive session designed to introduce young people to the vast range of careers within the NHS.
The event, which took place on 5th March, provided students with a unique opportunity to explore different roles in the healthcare sector, gain an understanding of the skills required, and consider future career pathways in the NHS. The sessions included:
- ‘Guess the Job’ – an interactive challenge where students identified various NHS roles.
- ‘Solve the NHS Challenge’ – a problem-solving activity that showcased real-world scenarios faced by NHS professionals.
- ‘A Day in the Life’ – an insightful look into the daily responsibilities of NHS workers.
Throughout the day, students were able to engage with the event via Microsoft Teams, ask questions, and take part in discussions about the essential roles that keep the NHS running.
This experience was an invaluable opportunity for our students to think about their futures and understand how their skills and interests could align with careers in healthcare.
