Dear Parents and Carers,
This week, we were delighted to welcome the next generation of Anselmians during our transition afternoons. A huge thank you to all the students who served as outstanding ambassadors for our College each afternoon! Their enthusiasm, maturity, and pride shone through as they engaged with both parents and our new students. Alongside our future Year 7 cohort, we were also pleased to meet 19 prospective Year 12 students who joined us with hopes of becoming part of our outstanding Sixth Form in September.
A huge thank you to our alumni who participated in today’s annual Golf Day. Events like this are not only a wonderful way to stay connected, but also offer excellent networking opportunities for both social and professional growth within the Anselmian Association. If you would like more information about becoming involved, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Today, we also welcomed back our Year 11 students for a special celebration to mark the end of their GCSE journey. We wish them a well-deserved and relaxing extended summer break and look forward to seeing them again for Sixth Form enrolment, which begins at 8am on August 21st.
The celebrations continue this evening with the Year 13 Prom at Thornton Manor—a fitting and heartfelt send-off for a truly exceptional group of students. We will say our final goodbyes at the Year 13 Leavers’ Mass and Colours Awards Presentation on Monday, 23rd June at 6pm in the College Hall. All Year 13 students and their families are warmly invited to attend this special occasion.
Good luck to our Year 10 students as they continue with their summer exams. Their dedication, focus, and impeccable conduct, particularly in the challenging hot and humid conditions, have been truly commendable.
Upcoming Dates:
- 23rd June – Year 13 Leavers’ Mass & Colours Awards (6pm)
- 24th June – FOSA Meeting (7pm)
- 26th June – Early College Closure (2pm) for Open Evening
- 26th June – Arrival of our Spanish Immersion Students
- 27th June – Brother Kerrigan Walk & Afternoon Celebration
I would like to take this opportunity to extend a special thank you, as always, for your continued support. The strength of our Anselmian community lies in our unity and shared values. Together, we remain resilient, proud, and strong.
Wishing you a restful and enjoyable weekend.
Mrs Cubbin
