ST. ANSELM’S COLLEGE CURRICULUM VISION FOR RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
VISION A highly ambitious curriculum in Religious Education is grounded in the teachings of the Catholic Church. It follows the example of Jesus to ensure that students are encouraged to explore their faith and develop their understanding of the place faith has in their lives. Students are challenged to think outside of their own world view and consider views/issues/concepts that they might not have encountered before/agree with or understand.

KS3 is the building blocks for KS4 and KS5. It is the foundation of knowledge and introduction of key skills, e.g. evaluation and appraisal. Year 7 introduces the skills, Year 8 – embeds the skills, Year 9 enhances the skills. There are 4 key areas for all year groups. Beliefs and teachings, Practices, Sources of wisdom and authority, Ways of expression.
