The 2nd XV made a winning start to 2023 with an impressive 34-12 points victory over St. David’s Llandudno on Wednesday at the Ridings. Forwards and backs combined effectively as the whole squad enjoyed some game time prior to Saturday’s trip to King’s School Macclesfield. The forwards took control for most of the game and there was some slick passing in the backs, underpinned by excellent tackling.

Finn McGrath gave a man of the match performance scoring 14 points, including a try, and there were further tries by Zac Smart, Ed Unsworth, Charlie Ward and Andy Wilkinson. Forwards Matt Baker and Paddy Jones had storming games and Josh Parsley provided a cutting edge in the centres.
