Congratulations to the Intermediate and Senior Cross Country Teams, who brought back silverware from the prestigious Shrewsbury Relays, held at the National Trust site Attingham Park.

The Intermediate Team were a highly creditable second place, only just failing to reel in the winning team, Haberdasher (Adams) School.

The Senior Team delivered a highly impressive and most convincing victory, despite the squad not including a Year 13 athlete and containing three Year 11 runners.

As well as tackling the opposition, our runners had to deal with an undulating multi-terrain course across the deer park in wind, rain and hail.

Special thanks go to Mr and Mrs Green and Mr Goulding who joined the squad and masterminded the in-race tactics.
