Our Year 8 and Year 9 students took part in a Careers and Enterprise Day on Monday, 1st July 2024. The event was conducted by The Inspirational Learning Group, which was filled with engaging activities and interactive sessions that encouraged students to think creatively and develop their entrepreneurial skills. The event provided students with a modern, 21st-century careers education and to help them develop essential skills for their future careers and the world of work. Through hands-on workshops, students gained a deeper understanding of the opportunities available to them and how to navigate their future careers.
The Careers and Enterprise Day was not only educational but also inspiring, as it motivated our students to consider their own career aspirations and the steps they need to take to achieve them. We are proud of the enthusiasm and participation shown by our students and are confident that this experience will have a lasting impact on their academic and professional journeys.
A Year 8 and Year 9 team were selected on the day and will represent the College at the National Finals of The National Careers Challenge 2024, taking place at Doncaster Racecourse, Leger Way, Doncaster, DN2 6BB on Tuesday 9th July 2024.
The challenge partners include, NatWest Thrive, alongside our challenge setters Air Products, JCB and AtkinsRéalis, who set the dynamic content for the learners. The Inspirational Learning Group can’t wait to see all of the work produced by our students and ultimately crown the National Champions! At the finals, our winning teams will compete against other teams from across the UK for the chance to be crowned The National Careers Challenge Champions for 2024, with the winners receiving their awards and prizes on the day.
We wish our winning teams great success at the National Final and hope they bring home the championship title.
