The Purpose of Religious Education

  • To nurture a deep understanding of the Catholic faith, rooted in Scripture, Tradition, the teachings of the Church and Blessed Edmund Rice.
  • To foster spiritual growth and personal relationship with God through prayer, reflection, and the Sacraments.
  • To form students in the charism and values of the Religious Order, linking faith to lived experience and service.
  • To encourage spiritual, social, moral and ethical development, enabling students to make responsible choices guided by Gospel values.
  • To promote respect for the dignity of every human person and awareness of social justice in line with Catholic Social Teaching.
  • To help students appreciate and engage with other faith traditions, building dialogue and understanding in a diverse society.
  • To prepare students to participate actively in the life and mission of the Church, locally and globally.
