Sixth Form students had the opportunity to attend a careers talk delivered by representatives from BDO, one of the UK’s leading accountancy and business advisory firms. The session provided students with valuable insights into BDO’s apprenticeship programs, offering an alternative pathway to higher education.

BDO’s apprenticeships cover a range of areas, including accounting, audit, and advisory services, allowing students to earn while they learn and gain practical experience in the financial sector. The presenters emphasized the benefits of choosing an apprenticeship, such as hands-on training, professional qualifications, and the chance to start a career without accumulating student debt.

Our students left the session inspired and equipped with knowledge about the skills and qualities BDO looks for in applicants, as well as tips for a successful application. We are committed to providing our Sixth Formers with diverse career opportunities, and this talk was a fantastic way for them to explore the professional world beyond the classroom.
