In our Personal Development lessons this week, Mrs. Alison McGovern, MP and Minister of Employment, visited College to speak and take questions from our Sixth Form. She began with a short talk, where she spoke about how she entered into politics, and what an MPs day-to-day work generally involves. For the following forty-five minutes she fielded questions from the Sixth Form, which ranged from local issues, to international affairs and foreign policy, the electoral system, and her own personal political philosophy. It was truly a pleasure to have her visit, and we look forward to working closely with her in the future.
