For the second consecutive year the College Under 16 side made the final of the Merchant Taylors sevens tournament. This time though we narrowly lost the final to Manchester Grammar in an exciting match.

Three wins in the group versus
Stonyhurst – 21-19
Manchester Grammar 34-12
and St Mary’s 32-0

Followed by a semi-final victory over Birkenhead 24-12 we then had a rematch versus Manchester n the final.

A brave effort and some outstanding performances, especially from captain and talisman Alex Kerr.
