Dear Parents and Carers,
This week we celebrated the Feast of Saint Vincent de Paul with a Mass in his honour. Our junior and senior SVP groups, along with Mr Dominic Ion from the Birkenhead office, attended the celebration. We continue to support the mission of the SVP, which offers direct and practical assistance to those experiencing poverty, isolation, and homelessness. Their Birkenhead centre provides a community café, foodbank, and a range of essential support services for the local community.
We were also delighted to welcome back our former Deputy Head Boy, Dylan Rumsby. Dylan delivered a powerful and very personal assembly on the importance of CPR, emphasising the vital role this life-saving skill can play.
Well done to all who represented the College so excellently at the Mini-Dash at the Catholic High School in Chester today.
From the photos already shared, our Spanish Immersion trip appears to be going wonderfully. After lessons this morning, students visited the Santo Rostro—a holy relic believed to bear the face of Jesus—and are currently enjoying the experience of the Arab Baths.
Thank you for your patience and understanding this week as we continue to resolve some technical issues. Please continue to contact our reception if you need to get in touch with the College. I will keep you updated as soon as I have further information.
Important dates next week:
7th Oct Yr7 Retreat
8th Oct Nasal Spray
9th Oct Senior Maths Challenge
10th Oct Mental Health Awareness Day – wear something yellow
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
Warm regards,
Mrs Cubbin
