Dear Parents/Carers,
This week’s Celebration of the Word focused on Black History Month. This year’s theme, “Standing
Firm in Power and Pride,” invites us to honour the remarkable contributions of Black leaders who
have shaped our shared history, while also looking ahead to a future rooted in empowerment, unity
and growth.
On Thursday morning, our Year 7 students took part in a formation workshop, reflecting on the
importance of belonging to the Edmund Rice Global Network. Led by Ann Nicholls from the Edmund
Rice Office, the session explored the life and mission of Edmund Rice and invited students to
consider how they can support the ‘Opening Doors Sierra Leone Advent Campaign’, which focuses
on girls’ education and empowerment. Further information to follow.
Thank you once again for your patience regarding our recent IT issues. Please check that your child is
now logged back into Satchel, Microsoft Teams and Edulink. If they are still having difficulties,
please remind them to go to the hall at lunchtime, where support is available. It is also very
important that students do not use their College email address and or password to sign up for
external apps or websites. I have now received the External Forensic Report, and I am pleased to
confirm that no student or staff personal data was shared or compromised as a result of the Cyber
Attack.
A reminder that next week is Anti-Bullying Week. Alongside a programme of activities, all students
are encouraged to wear odd socks on Monday to help raise awareness.
Students in Year 13 and Year 11 should now be fully engaged in daily revision for their mock
examinations. If you require any further information or support with your child’s revision, please
