Dear Parents/Carers,
This week, our ‘Celebration of the Word’ assemblies have been a powerful reminder of how the Lenten season invites us to deepen our faith, reflect on the Gospels, and renew our commitment to God. Lent calls us to turn away from distractions that hinder our spiritual journey and instead embrace prayer, fasting, and acts of charity as a testament to our faith in action.
Our students have truly embodied this spirit, wholeheartedly participating in various fundraising initiatives – from a whole Form Class sponsored silence to a sponsored bike ride. From an own shoes day to basketball challenges, and more. A standout moment… I was looking out of my window this morning to witness what I can only describe as Mr. Diaz chasing a shark around the lower yard – proving that Year 9’s non-uniform day took creativity to a whole new level!
We are incredibly grateful for your support in these events, helping us to help others.
Tonight, we look forward to the highly anticipated Year 7 Disco – and if the play lists I’ve seen are anything to go by, it promises to be an unforgettable evening!
Alongside this, our FOSA Race Night on Friday, April 25th, will be another fantastic event to help us cross the finish line in our fundraising drive for our new mini bus. If you are able to contribute in any way, please consider donating via our GoFundMe page or even becoming a corporate sponsor. Every effort, no matter how small, brings us closer to making this dream a reality!
