Dear Parents and Carers,

This week’s assemblies celebrated the many achievements of our students so far this term. From Duke of Edinburgh successes and rugby accomplishments to charitable initiatives and participation in the Maths Challenge, it has been wonderful to recognise their efforts. In particular, Max Done, who has now raised over £4,000 for Claire House, received a special Edmund Rice Charism Award for Compassion for Others.

We are now entering an important period of exam preparation. Year 11 reports were posted today, and Year 13 Mock 2 data will be shared with you via EduLink shortly. While it is important that students maintain a healthy work–life balance, the weeks leading up to examinations require careful structure. If you feel your son would benefit from additional guidance on study skills, please contact their Head of Year, who will be very happy to support.

It was a pleasure to welcome Mr Bill Iveson back to the College this week. He delivered inspiring history sessions reflecting on his time at the College and his continued work. This morning we also welcomed back Rory Seargent, now a Lieutenant in the Royal Navy, who spoke to Key Stage 4 students.

Our sincere thanks to FOSA for their generous support following Tuesday evening’s meeting. Their contributions will fund ten new monitors for the Music Department, support our Duke of Edinburgh programme, and contribute to the development of the new contemplative garden and rosary walk in the Brothers’ Garden.

Good luck to all students travelling to the Algarve next week for the Cross-Country trip, and congratulations to our fantastic Year 10 students who will graduate from the MVP Award at St George’s Hall.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and a very happy Mother’s Day on Sunday.

Kind regards,
Mrs Cubbin
