Dear parents and carers,
I would like to begin by celebrating our outstanding sporting achievements.
Alex Kerr, Yr13, has been selected for Ireland’s U18 rugby team for two tests in Italy. We are so proud of him. His hard work, commitment and dedication has paid off; he is a true College ambassador and role model for our students. (It’s just a bonus that he is playing for Ireland, the best rugby Nation!)
Furthermore, congratulations to all of our rugby teams (two weeks in a row with a clean sweep of wins), and, not forgetting our talented hockey players and cross country runners who are at the top of their game too. A special good luck to all the cross country runners competing in the National Fell Running Final on Sunday.
Best of luck to all teams and individuals competing this weekend.
Finally a huge congratulations to Jacob in Yr.7 who completed a triathlon last weekend. Jacob is raising money to provide food to feed 25 families on Christmas Day. His target was £1,600 but he has exceeded this already with an amazing £1,850 and still going.
As part of World Mental Health Day 2024, we will be taking part in the Young Minds Initiative “Hello Yellow”. We are asking all staff and students to wear something yellow to College on Thursday in an aim to raise awareness of mental health.
I wish you all a wonderful, restful weekend,
Kind regards,
Mrs Cubbin
Headteacher
