Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope you and your families had a lovely half term, everyone has certainly returned refreshed and ready to go! This half term is shorter but no less busy, we have a calendar packed full of trips, careers events, sixth form open evening, Year 10 parents’ evening, Christmas family events, Year 13 mock exams and our annual prize giving ceremony to name but a few. Please do check the College calendar on our website for the latest information.

If you have been following us on our socials you will have seen and read about the once in a life time experiences our students have had in Japan, they are currently on the flight home. No doubt they will be exhausted, we look forward to seeing them all return to College on Monday to hear about their adventures first hand.

Also on our socials you will have read about our new ‘Family/corporate minibus project’, we have already received corporate sponsorship totaling £11,000! If you would like to know more please visit our fundraising website at https://support.st-anselms.com/minibus-fundraiser/ Alternatively, if you would like to get involved but do not wish to become a sponsor you can also donate via our Go Fund Me page at Fundraiser by St Anselm’s College : St Anselm’s College Community Minibus fundraising project
Furthermore, it’s your last chance to purchase tickets for the FOSA ‘Wreath Making’ event. This promises to be a fun evening with refreshments (including an open bar), live entertainment, raffle prizes and a choir. Limited tickets are available on parent pay.

Advance notice that our annual FOSA ‘Christmas Showcase’ is returning by popular demand. Tickets are on sale now, just scan the QR code below. A family ticket costs £10 and a single ticket is £3. Again, this will be an evening of live entertainment, pub quiz with fantastic prizes and party games – a night for all the family. Although we do have a lot of fun at our FOSA events the key is to remember the impact of the funds raised and the genuine difference it makes. With this year’s funds we aim to replace the projector screen in the hall and purchase bespoke furniture and resources for our new ‘Learning Hub’, a new area specifically designed to support our students’ social, emotional and academic development.

In Rugby, we congratulate our First team who beat Sandbach in the National Plate and progress now to the quarter finals, best of luck to all students competing in all events this weekend.

Have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs Cubbin
