Dear parents and carers,

we have now completed the full fortnightly timetable cycle and are back in the swing of things!

Sporting fixtures have resumed with victories for the Year 8 and Year 10 rugby teams at St. Ambrose College last week and Years 7,8 and 9 play Bishop Heber HS at The Ridings tomorrow. 1st XV Vice-captain Cathal Lynch (Year 13) has been selected for the North of England training squad. Congratulations to our 9 runners who have been selected to represent Merseyside following the County Championship races and to Mr Dunn who has also achieved representative selection. Ethan Brady Jones in Year 13 won the Senior Race.

Year 13 Reports have been posted to parents following their Mock Exams last term. Please read them carefully with your sons!

On Thursday we hold Year 9 Parents Evening at the College from 5-8pm. Please report to Reception on arrival.

Merseyside Police are monitoring traffic and parking around the College so please heed my advice to park responsibly away from the College entrance, or you might regret not doing so!

On a final note, you will now be aware of the National Education Union’s intention to take strike action on 1st February. Some of the reports in the media have been rather misleading. The NEU is not the only teaching association and is the only one taking industrial action at present. so I will advise you of our arrangements for continuing your sons’ education when all the details are known.

I wish you and your families an enjoyable weekend.
