Join the St Anselm’s Cross Country Alumni Network

St Anselm’s College has a proud and enduring tradition in cross country running—built on decades of dedication, grit, and brotherhood. From the legacy of the Brother Kerrigan Run to national podiums and international training tours, the spirit of St Anselm’s College Cross Country has always gone beyond competition—it’s about culture, character, and community.

Today, that legacy continues to thrive.

The 2024/25 season has been one of our strongest yet, with victories across all age groups, a landmark tour to Portugal, and multiple athletes representing Merseyside at national championships. The programme is growing in both size and stature, and it’s an exciting time to be part of the story.

That’s why we’re now inviting all former SAC cross country runners to join our newly relaunched XC Alumni Network on WhatsApp.

Whether you ran in the 1980s, the early 2000s, or more recently, we want to reconnect and reignite the old boys’ community—through organised runs, catch-ups, and opportunities to support the next generation.

We’re currently planning a calendar of alumni events, including parkrun meetups, Brother Kerrigan revival runs, and more.

To get involved, simply email Mr James Allkins at jallkins@st-anselms.com

Let’s bring the past and present together, and ensure the future of SAC Cross Country is as strong as its history.
