Dear parents and carers,
I hope that your sons enjoyed their holiday today, when the staff had an INSET Day which included our Entrance Exam for Year 6 boys. The day went well and our Year 13 prefect volunteers did a magnificent job. All students should use this opportunity to catch up any work they have missed so far this term!
Our successful rugby season continues tomorrow with the derby match against Wirral Grammar School. This is the most keenly awaited match of the season for many of us and we relish the opportunity to compete against our local rivals, for whom we have grudging respect! There will be fixtures at The Ridings and at Cross Lane, Bebington, if you wish to join us.
Our first major trip of the year is the Spanish Immersion trip to Jaen from Tuesday to Saturday next week, for boys in years 9-12. We wish them and accompanying staff a safe journey.
Next week we begin our Harvest Festival celebrations and will be collecting for the Wirral Foodbank until 6th October. Please send in any preserved foodstuffs that you can spare.
I wish you and your families an enjoyable weekend. Let us hope that the weather improves!
Yours in Christ,
Simon Duggan
Headmaster
