Dear Parents and Carers,

What a busy half term it has been, culminating in a particularly inspiring week with our fantastic alumni guest speakers returning to the College to motivate and encourage our students. My sincere thanks go to Nick Kelly, James Corcoran and Andrew Oates for generously giving their time and sharing their experiences.

Following recent enquiries regarding upcoming trips and visits, please note that you can access the calendar of proposed dates on our website under the Parents/Carers tab, within Important Dates – Trips/Visits 2025–2026. Please be aware that dates planned well in advance may be subject to change.

I would also like to offer a gentle reminder that, in line with Wirral Local Authority guidance and regulations, I am unable to authorise holidays during term time. Please do not take this personally. Additionally, unauthorised absences may result in fixed penalty fines.

As we return after half term, please ensure that all students are back in College on Monday 23rd February wearing full College uniform. This includes black school shoes and black coats only. If you have any uniform, PE kit, boots or spikes that your son no longer requires, FOSA would be very grateful to receive them. We hope to run a pre-loved uniform shop at the College on the last Friday of each month, depending on donations, further details will follow. Donations can be dropped off at the College office.

Please keep our Year 11 and Year 13 students in your thoughts and prayers as they now focus on their revision and independent study. With the first external exam only ten weeks away, this is a crucial time for them to make a real difference!

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and partnership. I wish you and your families a restful and enjoyable half term break.

Kind regards,

Mrs Cubbin
