We welcomed a speaker from Wirral Borough Council, Phil Kane, on Wednesday, 20th March to address our Sixth Form students, discussing degree apprenticeships and the diverse career prospects they offer. The degree apprenticeship route offers an excellent chance to acquire hands-on experience alongside working towards attaining a valuable degree qualifications. Notably, Wirral Borough Council have taken on 120 staff in the past 12 months. They are the second-largest employer in the borough. With hybrid working and flexible hours, they prioritise work-life balance and foster a family-friendly environment, making them a supportive employer.
