Australian student Rhys Jenkins, from Edmund Rice school, St. Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace, Brisbane, spent last week at the College alongside his cousin George Fleming.
16-year old Rhys shadowed George’s timetable across the curriculum and also attended college events including last week’s Advent Service and the FOSA Christmas Showcase. Rhys settled in very well and professed to enjoy his experience, despite a trip to Goodison Park!
Such exchanges are a feature of our participation in the Edmund Rice Education Beyond Borders initiative and we hope that our students will enjoy similar opportunities in the future as we seek to strengthen our partnership with the global Edmund Rice network. Our forthcoming Year 13 Immersion Retreat to Sierra Leone in February 2024 will serve a similar purpose.
