Year 8s unbeaten at Rosslyn Park National sevens

A remarkable showing by St Anselm’s College Year 8s at the prestigious Rosslyn Park National Sevens.

In the top tier waterfall competition, the under 13s did their College proud winning five out of five matches!

Victories over:

St Benedict’s, Ealing 15-10
Berkhamsted School, Hertfordshire 20-15
Hampton School, Middlesex 15-5
Collegiate School, Bristol 15-10
Emmanuel School, London 15-10

It really was an incredible day and every game went to the final play. Furthermore, these boys showed outstanding resilience and fortitude.

Mr Cubbin and Chris Saverimutto have done a wonderful job and their team possess a great blend of skill, pace and aggression. It was a pleasure to witness the camaraderie and team spirit the whole group possess.

All members of the squad made a significant contribution on and off the field and it is hard to single out any individuals.

However, a special member to Charlie Kerr who scored 8 out of the team’s 16 tries on the day!

Well done players and coaches,

Mr S Mason
