Sam left the college in 2021 after studying Economics, Physical Education and Mathematics. He captained the rugby First XV, competed in the athletics national finals and was county champion for triple jump in 2018. He went on to study Economics and Finance at the University of Newcastle.

Memories of his time at the College:

My favourite moment at St Anselm’s was boarding the ferry to leave Venice on the year 9 rugby tour to Italy, only to see one of the boys sprinting through Venice to catch the ferry. He missed it by a matter of seconds and Mr Hale’s face as he stood on the pier waiting for this boy as the ferry left was a picture of immense anger.
