Christian studied Biology, Chemistry, Economics and General Studies at the College. At the time he was also part of Cheshire Schoolboys Rugby u16 & u18 and played for Wirral schoolboys Cricket team and captain of school 1st XI. Christian studied Urban Land Economics at Sheffield Hallam University after leaving the College in 1989. He later signed a professional contract with Sale Sharks and won 4 Ireland caps in 1995/96.

Christian is now a chartered surveyor running his own Property Management and Letting Agency, Savi Property which is based in Hoylake.
