Following weeks of dedication and encouragement from the Junior SVP and St Anselm’s staff, we were delighted when a van from Samaritan’s Purse arrived to collect our contributions towards this year’s ‘Operation Christmas Child.’ The generosity demonstrated by our students and the wider community has yet again been wonderful! We would like to express our heart-felt gratitude for the extraordinary kindness demonstrated, especially considering the challenging economic climate that we currently face.

We are proud to be a community where Christ’s Gospel values of service, charity, justice, and compassion are so clearly alive and well. We collected well over 120 boxes which will be sent to the sorting centre, alongside other items we could not fit into boxes, to be distributed. These parcels will be sent around the world to many children who otherwise would not receive a gift this Christmas. We send them with our thoughts and prayers for those working on behalf of this worthwhile charity and its global recipients. As ever, we pray for an end to poverty and injustice, and ask that Jesus’ love reaches everyone, including the hearts and minds of those in authority, to inspire them to work towards a fairer world.
