Last Friday (7th February), a group of students from Year 8, visited St. John Plessington High School for the second MINI Dash event of the School year. Each Diocesan school sent the same students as they did to the first meeting, which really helped them to connect and engage with each other. The talks and activities focused on Catholic Social Teaching, particularly the call to recognize each other’s inherent dignity, and the need for students to take on leadership roles within their own schools. Following the instructions we were given after our first meeting in October, our group planned and delivered a presentation to the other schools about how Catholic Social Teaching is expressed at St Anselm’s. They were then invited to think of ways in which this could be improved or built upon.
