On International Women’s Day, we thank God for the important women in the lives of all within our college community. We pledge to do our part, to continue to work towards a more just and equitable world for all.
We remember especially, the seven women in Blessed Edmund Rice’s life who gave him such guidance and wisdom and influenced him so greatly. Let us celebrate the vital role that these women had in Edmund’s life, Margaret Tierney, Mary Elliot, Mary Power, Nano Nagle, St Teresa of Avila and of course, Our Lady, Mary of Nazareth
Loving God, this day we commit ourselves to the promotion of the full humanity of all women.
Bless every woman who has built up our world through their love and devotion.
Inspire us to follow their great examples so we may all share in the vision of your glory.
