Dear Parents and Carers,
As we conclude another busy and successful week, I would like to take a moment to celebrate some sporting achievements. Congratulations to our Cross Country first team for their impressive 7th place finish at the King Henry Relays in Coventry—a fantastic achievement! Well done also to our KS3 and KS4 badminton teams, who represented the College brilliantly in the English Schools tournament at Neston High School.
Our Yr.10 Mentors for Violence Prevention Team, in collaboration with the Merseyside Youth Association, have been busy filming all day today. Students have had the fantastic opportunity of working with the team, to develop their own story, script, and screenplay based on key themes from their training. The final resource will be used for the next cohort of MVP students in 2026.
A reminder that FOSAs AGM will take place on Tuesday 11th February 7pm in College, everyone is welcome – please email me directly if you would like more details.
Yr. 11 Mock Exam results will be available on Edulink from Monday, 10th February, with written reports to follow. With just 10 teaching weeks remaining before the first external GCSE exam, time is of the essence. I strongly encourage students to commit to a structured revision plan—at least two hours per evening and four hours on both Saturday and Sunday. Further guidance and information will be included in their reports.
Just a reminder of upcoming events:
- 10th February First Aid Student Workshops KS3/4
- 13th February Yr9 Options Evening in College
- 14th February Staff Development Day
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs Cubbin
