1st XV Rugby progress to the 3rd round of Schools Vase

The 1st XV progressed into the next round of the U18 Schools Vase with a hard-fought, 24-31 away win, over St Edward’s College, Liverpool.

We always led throughout the game, but this was a physical battle from start to finish.

Gray was excellent again upfront and Jude Beck was an immense presence in the line-out and was rightly player of the match.

In the backs Rumsby had a solid debut and defended with assurance. Arista’s out of hand kicking was smart and his goal kicking (6/7) the difference between the two sides.

Under 16s beat King’s Macclesfield in Cheshire Cup.

At the Ridings the College Under 16s put in a brave and physical performance to progress into the next round of the Cheshire Cup.

Tries from Milner and Unsworth was the key to a tight victory with McGrath converting from the touchline in a 12-5 win!

Well done to both sides
