Matt studied French, German, Theology and General Studies at the College. He also took part in 1st XV Rugby and 1st XI Cricket, was a member of the SVP, Friday Club and Senior Prefect. He also took part in the College musicals and was a cast member of Fiddler on the Roof, and Joseph. After leaving the College in 1994, Matt went on to study BA(Hons) Modern Languages – French and Spanish, at Manchester Metropolitan University. Matt is now back at the College and is Head of the Modern Foreign Languages Faculty.

Memories of his time at the College:

The rugby tour to Canada in ’94. Making 1 appearance for the legendary 1st XV team of 1992. Exchange visits to France and vice versa. Returning to the College in 2018 as staff!
