Dear Parents/Carers,

Another busy week of enrichment and activities including a fantastic Yr8/9 Careers Enterprise Day. Throughout the day, students engaged in activities that enhanced their career path awareness, team-building abilities, presentation skills, and communication techniques; all critical competencies for their future. A special congratulations goes to the Year 9 winning team ‘Wirral Water Ways’ – Joseph, Oliver, Jonathan, and Lucas, for their excellent work and creativity. Likewise, congratulations to the Year 8 winners – Conrad, Phillip, Theo, Harley, and Nathan, for their outstanding teamwork and problem-solving efforts.

Huge congratulations also to all of our ‘College Ambassador’ award winners, who were treated to a movie & pizza afternoon on Thursday. I am so proud of all your achievements and contribution to College life.

However, in keeping with the theme of congratulations, I must dedicate this week’s message to our phenomenal, history making, Rugby 1st XV team, who beat the mighty Rugby School in a nail biting game which concluded 21-17. Our boys played their hearts out and represented the College with such pride. I must also thank all the parents/carers who attended in support. To quote Mr Tommy McCann ‘It was the togetherness that reaped the reward of a famous victory…players, staff and supporters, all superb!’ They are indeed role models for our younger students who will aspire to follow in their footsteps. We cannot wait to turn out in full force on Wednesday 26th February.

Save the Date: St. Anselm’s College vs Ipswich School in the U-18 National Plate semi-final at home.
